Complete Basic Nurse Aide Training Programs

Certified nursing assistants (CNA) are important members of the healthcare team whose duties involve caring directly for a patient (as well as indirect patient care tasks) and works under the direct or general supervision of a registered nurse. As a healthcare giver, CNA's are expected to demonstrate good interpersonal skills when interacting with other members of the healthcare team and with patients. CNA's help maintains a functional and aesthetic healthcare environment, contributing to the patient's wellbeing. They are expected to perform unit/area skill competencies and must be sensitive to the patient's development, age-specific, and cultural and spiritual needs.

Clinicals are conducted at the following Hospital sites:
• Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital
• Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital
• Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital
• Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital

The Basic Nurse Aide Training Program

(BNATP) Training is provided by A Plus Healthcare Training. Our program is approved by the Division of Private Business and Vocational Schools of the IBHE and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). Upon completion of the course, the student will receive a certificate of completion. A State Competency Exam as mandated by the IDPH must be passed in order to become qualified for employment as a CNA at any healthcare agencies or facilities in Illinois. IDPH mandates the BNATP and has set minimum competency requirements. A Plus Healthcare Training has followed IDPH's guidelines and chose to set a higher standard than the minimum recommendations.
